James Blunt rose from nowhere to break chart records aplenty last year. His debut single You’re Beautiful and album Back To Bedlam remained at No.1 in their respective charts for six weeks simultaneously in Summer 2005 - Back To Bedlam; even holding Coldplay’s X&Y off the top spot.
28 year old Blunt came relatively late to music, having made Captain in the British Army before being signed to Linda Perry’s Custard Records and making music his career. He finished 2005 with a sell-out UK tour, and having sold almost two million albums in six months, the James Blunt bandwagon shows no signs of slowing down.
